Re: Appalachian State Loft..

Tried to get this on the blog earlier, but had technical problems.
Here's a post from Dec 29th:

I met my family (Jeff, Becca, Mom, Dad) here in NYC, we have been here
for a couple days now experiencing the pulse of the city, what a
place! Debbie and I are leaving later today but we get to go see the
new Museum of Modern Art before we go. We tried to get lottery tickets
to Wicked yesterday, with no luck unfortunately. The Museum of Natural
History was great and the food is really something. Thanks for all the
reccomendations Jackie!

It is soo cold with the wind here, the wind chill must make it close
to 5 degrees or so. I'll write more later, when I don't have the
opportunity to explore the city instead of being at the computer .....
And we're staying at the Appalachian State NYC Loft. It's so nice here!

Merry Christmas Everyone

We're here in Albany, NY for Christmas this year - enjoying a remote
setting with Debbie's family here. We're going to have a big Italian
feast today, so we should better get going to help get ready...

Merry Christmas Everyone!

We stayed at a really neat cabin at Breitenbush with Kendall and
Keith a couple weekends ago, it was a lot of fun! We kept the cabin
warm with a wood-fired stove and got water from the river nearby for
washing dishes. Very rustic, it was a great "getaway" weekend. It
makes me want to get a cabin, but perhaps we should get a house
first....

Here's a couple more pictures from Breitenbush from a few weeks ago now...

New server, hopefully faster!

I'm changing over to a United States server instead of one in Hong Kong, which should be faster for everyone to access. Thanks to the nice people at ICDSoft.com. To you, my faithful readers (snicker snicker), let me know if you have trouble with anything and I'll try to fix it. It may take me a little while to get all the bugs worked out...

Ultimate Boot CD

For you geeks out there, have you ever needed a bootable CD to run disk formatting utilities or do diagnostics when your OS goes haywire? Look no further.. I just found the Ultimate Boot CD which is likely the answer to your troubles. I previously used to use the Ultimate Boot Floppy but it requires a slow floppy and this is a fast-booting CD!

Fiddle group

I got a picture from someone in our group of our class playing in the
Lucky Lab pub last month, it was a really nice session. What goes
better together than Irish music and beer? Nothing, I tell you!

Cartoon about robots

I just found an interesting web-cartoon called nineplanets that is about a pair of robots and their explorations. Right down my alley, I suppose..

Chuck and Erica's Wedding photos

I've (finally) posted the photos for Chuck and Erica's Wedding! The wedding and it's surrounding events was so wonderful it was hard to stay behind the camera and remember to take pictures! Our new digital camera held in there pretty well among all the activities, but you can now see for yourself...

You can click in the upper-right corner to see a slideshow (or even order the photos through Shutterfly if you want).
