Nice Hike in the Columbia Gorge

We took a nice hike Sunday to Punchbowl falls (inbetween rain showers)
and had a really nice afternoon. It's nice to hike, we should do it
more often!

Check out the pictures if you're interested.

Retreat at the Beach

It seems like life has accelerated recently.. so the retreat this past
weekend was really nice. We went to the beach with some church folk
young adults and had a very relaxing weekend. You can see some
pictures from the retreat here
.

And Debbie put up some nice pictures from her trip to California also.

Here's a "teaser" from the beach pictures:

Combat damage

We've been getting pretty good at hitting eachother's planes lately,
although the recent introduction of brushless motors has made things
more interesting. Here's a sample of a recent hit!

Wind vector map for Portland!

I have been looking for something like the Bay Area wind vector map ever since I got to Portland, and just found something close: NOAA wind. The sampling points are a little rough, but it's the basic useful information. One sensor is on the Fremont bridge which should be a good indicator for sites close-in to Portland. There's also several gorge sensors and some in Hillsboro too. Neat-o.
