Weekend hike & house hunting..

We took a nice hike to Catherine Creek (out in the gorge) this
weekend. It was beautiful, reminded me of hiking in Northern
California with grassy meadows and Mt. Hood in the background. There
was a nice natural arch that we looked into, the picture below is
looking down through the arch. The new Camelback pack with the water
bladder in it worked out quite well, it is a convienent way to carry
water and other items.

With some barbequing today and house shopping it's been a busy weekend!

Lagers

This is for you Julie.. It is time to prep for the Summer beer
parties. I've started my first lagers now, they're fermenting in my
extra fridge at ~50 degrees currently. One pilsner and a Maibock. I've
also got a Kolsch going in the basement - which is bubbling along
happily. Next up: American Amber!

Happy New Job Deb!

We had a nice little get-together for Deb with some friends in the
backyard, the weather turned out great but the Kolsch homebrew - by
popular opinion - was better! I put together some pictures to share here.

Now it's off to North Carolina for several days of straight partying at Rebecca's Wedding!
